Twitch Bits to USD Converter

Type any amount of Bits and see exactly what it's worth in dollars — both what a streamer actually receives and what a viewer really pays to buy them. The two numbers are not the same, and the gap is where most converters mislead you.

What viewers actually pay

Bits are sold in bundles, and bigger bundles are cheaper per Bit. Enter how many Bits you want to cheer and this finds the cheapest bundle combination — then shows how much of your money reaches the streamer and how much Twitch keeps.

Bits questions, answered

How much is 1 Bit worth in USD?

To a streamer, exactly $0.01 — Twitch pays creators one cent for every Bit cheered in their channel. To a viewer, a Bit costs more: between $0.0123 and $0.014 depending on the bundle size you buy. That difference is Twitch's margin.

How much is 100 Bits in dollars?

A streamer receives $1.00 for a 100-Bit cheer. Buying 100 Bits costs a viewer $1.40 on the web — the smallest bundle Twitch sells.

How much is 10,000 Bits worth?

$100.00 to the streamer. A viewer pays $126.00 for the 10,000-Bit bundle, which is one of the better rates at $0.0126 per Bit.

How many Bits does a streamer need to get paid?

Twitch pays out once a creator's balance reaches $50, so a streamer needs at least 5,000 Bits worth of earnings (combined with subs and other revenue) before a payout is issued. Payouts go out around the 15th of the following month.

Why do Bits cost more to buy than they're worth?

The markup covers Twitch's cut of the transaction. Buying in larger bundles shrinks it: the 100-Bit pack costs $0.014 per Bit, while the 25,000-Bit pack costs $0.01232 per Bit — about 12% cheaper. Buying through the mobile apps costs even more because Apple and Google take their own store fee on top.

Can viewers convert Bits back into money?

No. Bits are a one-way purchase for viewers — once bought, they can only be cheered to streamers, not refunded or cashed out. Only creators receive money, at the $0.01-per-Bit rate, through Twitch's payout system.

Do Bits expire?

Bits in your balance don't expire and stay available until you cheer them. If a Twitch account is closed, any unused Bits in it are lost, so cheer them before deleting an account.

Are Bits better than subscribing or donating?

They're different. A Tier 1 sub costs $5.99 and the streamer typically keeps about half, plus the sub counts toward emote slots. Bits go further per dollar at large bundle sizes (the streamer keeps roughly 71–81% of what you spend) and work in any Affiliate or Partner channel without a subscription. Direct donation platforms pass through the most, but offer no channel perks, badges, or chargeback protection for the streamer.

About these rates: Bundle prices are Twitch's published US web prices and the $0.01-per-Bit creator rate is Twitch's standard for Affiliates and Partners. Prices in other currencies and in the mobile apps differ, and Twitch occasionally runs bonus-Bit promotions that temporarily improve the viewer rate.
